The Wilbraham Children's Museum is available to children in all surrounding communities. Designed to meet the needs of children under age 5, the playground and play areas inside the museum have been specifically designed with this age group in mind.

About Us
Wilbraham Childrens Museum 678 Main Street Wilbraham MAThe museum, a non-profit organization (since 1998), is run entirely by volunteers. A Board of Directors, and voting members consisting of its officers (President, Treasurer, and Recording Secretary), volunteer coordinators, and playgroup leaders oversee the operations of the Museum. The voting members meet monthly to set museum policy, decide on expenditures, plan museum activities and make sure the museum functions smoothly. The monthly meetings are open meetings. All interested persons are encouraged to attend.

Funds for Wilbraham Children's Museum are raised from member's yearly registration fee, session fees that are collected at the start of each playgroup session (roughly every 10 weeks), birthday parties, fundraisers and donations. Registration and session fees are pro-rated depending on starting date of joining a playgroup. Funds are used for the upkeep of the building and museum grounds, supplies, and new playground equipment and toys for the museum.

The Museum

The museum offers organized weekly playgroups, public hours, and a newly renovated playground that is free to the public year round.

The museum itself contains a variety of exhibits that are updated or replaced from time to time. Current exhibits include a space ship, a castle, a puppet theater, a dress-up box, a pretend kitchen, a gas truck and a fire-fighting exhibit. In addition, there are a number of toys and musical instruments available for playing, a Brio train set, and a foam climbing structure for infants and toddlers. As much work as possible is done by volunteers in setting up, creating, and maintaining these exhibits.

Come For A Visit
Due to the museum running on the Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District schedule, the museum is currently closed for the summer and will reopen in September. We are currently accepting registrations for Fall playgroups. See our Playgroups page for details.
